The Peer Support Specialist enhances community integration for the clients in the program and facilitates a peer support group. The responsibilities also include liaison and consultation work with the ancillary agencies, courts, jails, hospitals, public safety agencies, family and direct client services. Individual must have the ability to share information, provider feedback and work in a team environment. Also must provide community education, consultation with other interdisciplinary team members and respond to consumer service requests. Regular working hours are to be determined based on the needs of the consumers and of the program but are typically 8:30 -5:00 Monday.
