With numerous threats to Medicaid and behavioral health services now circulating Capitol Hill, the National Council of Behavioral Healthcare (of which MACMHB is a member) wants to prepare and mobilize its advocates with biweekly policy webinars.
“In considering changes to Medicaid financing, it is critical that Congress continue to maintain a meaningful federal role in this partnership and does not shift costs to states,” - Governors Terry McAuliffe (D-VA) and Brian Sandoval (R-NV), who head the National Governors Association. These words are contained in a recent letter, from the National Governor’s Association (NGA), with unanimous consent from every governor in the country to Congressional leadership, offering the views of the nation’s governors on revisions to the nation’s Medicaid program. Center for Healthcare Research and Innovation’s report on healthcare innovation initiatives led by public system: In April 2016, the Michigan Association of Community Mental Health Boards’ Center for Healthcare Research and Innovation conducted a study of the healthcare integration initiatives led by Michigan’s Community Mental Health Services Programs, the state’s public Prepaid Inpatient Health Plans, and providers within the CMH system
